This afternoon we’re all heading for The White Bear for our Thekla pre-party, with a BBQ on the go and music from Julio Bashmore, up and coming local producer/DJ Artifact and Hessle new boy Blawan.  Proceedings kick off at 3 and we’ll have a handful of tickets for tonight’s event on sale too in case you haven’t copped one yet.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be introducing a trio of new UK brands to Donuts.  Fresh brands to the scene who we feel are making moves in the right direction.

A Very Highbrow Exhibition

September will see a new selection of works adorning the walls of Donuts by Mr Mike O’Shea with his ‘Very Highbrow Exhibition’.  The show will run until the end of September with a private view on Friday 3rd September 7pm-10pm.  Expect some awesome stuff to look at washed down with some free booze and no doubt all sorts of inappropriate behaviour..

The teasers have been around for a minute now but here’s the actual lineup: the full Hessle Audio crew, with support from the usual Crazylegs suspects and the Bass Ache crew hosting the top deck.  Ooooph.

Jam City’s awesome debut 12″ is out now with a Night Slugs white label release.  If ever there was a record that would make me start buying vinyl, this is it.

Beautiful flyer. Awesome lineup. That does it for me but if you need more convincing check out this preview mix Slackk has put together for the ever excellent Work boys.

This weekend sees the opening of Shop Dutty’s sister store The Gold Mine on Stokes Croft.  Promising a huge selection of vintage and retro clothing from the 1950s-90s at bargain prices the store will run until mid October in the Central Reservation exhibition space, with a launch party this Sunday at 7pm.  Those crafty Dutty Girls have managed to snag sponsorship from Turning Leaf Vineyards so there will be free wine flowing all night and I’d be amazed if they don’t bring a big bag of party bangers to spin too.

Crazylegs crew are rolling to this in London tonight, holla if you’re about, then Shandy and EFA will be Ustreaming tomoro along with the Wifey boys and Tom from FACT mag.  Gonna be a good ‘un.

Dub Boy’s first dancehall mix in 2 years is available for download now over at Don’t Panic’s website, sporting some great artwork by our pal Zachary Saitoti.  Straight up summer vibes.

We’re very pleased to say TMP are back with a new collection which will be instore next week but if you’re in London tomoro why not help them celebrate at Wholesome from 7PM.  Apparantly there will be free booze and, intriguingly, free tattoos…
